SETUP & SUPPORT
Connect this browser.
1. Start the local companion
Use Node.js 24 or newer. The companion runs on your own computer; it is not a hosted editing service. Download and extract the companion package, open its folder in your terminal, then run:
npm install --omit=devnpm run studio
Open http://127.0.0.1:18765/studio/ in the browser you use for Flow. FFmpeg and ffprobe are separately required in PATH for media import/export. See Node.js and FFmpeg for their installation options.
2. Install the connector in this browser
The Store submission is being prepared. For the developer-mode release, download the connector ZIP, extract it to a permanent folder, open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked and select the extracted folder. Studio can also prepare the folder with its installation helper.
3. Connect and create
Refresh Studio after installing the connector. Studio attempts to pair automatically. Sign in to Google Flow and open your project, then start generation from Studio. Check the active Google account and review the episode budget before starting. Do not open a separate managed browser profile.
Troubleshooting
- Studio offline: make sure the companion process is running on this computer.
- Connector missing: install it in the same browser profile, then refresh Studio.
- Flow controls not found: open the project's video prompt controls. Flow interface changes may require a connector update.
- Unknown generation result: check the existing job in Flow before trying again.

The release was tested with local fixtures. Live Google Flow validation and Store review remain separate release gates.
